Dear Ozel,

Thank you for the effort to answer my question about The Law (The Ten Commandments)

I’m very disappointed from the plain view that your church have on this subject.
Your friend George likes the sentence “Milk for the children, hard food for the grown.”
Don’t you think that your view about the Law is very milky…

I don’t say that one must not keep the ten commandments.
They are even adapted and inserted in the world’s law.
They became regulative tools of the human society.
But nothing more, my friend.

Because the RULES can be obeyed formally, and disobeyed in the heart.
In meaning of: one can keep the commandments but inside of himself to have the desire of braking them-a murderer in the heart, who never killed, a man of spite, who never showed his hatred.
Do you think that that man will go to God?

A rule appear after the sin.
If there is no sin, no rules will be issued.
Which comes to show you that The Ten Commandments are only showing the sin.
(I’m sure that you know that)
But by knowing the sin, man does not go to God.
Man goes to God by knowing The Love.

It is true that Jesus has always spoken about His Commandments.
And they are:

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

As you can see, my friend, there is no RULES in this two commandments.
There is only Love in them.
And only in The Love you can hang all the law, and the Knowledge of the Prophets.

Jesus did not coincidently said that “Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets (were) until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

No one before Jesus(the time before John) had spoken about Love as the only Path to God.
No one had preached the Kingdom of God like Jesus did.
And the only Path to God is Love (the above two commandments of Jesus), not the law.
Because one can keep the law without having Love, but with having Love one will never brake any commandment of the law.

I hope that you understand my point.

Now… why the law is against us?
Because pointing to the Law, one can forget to act of Love.
Putting his hope in to the law, man is hoping to reach God by his deeds: not stealing, not doing adultery, not making image of God, and so on…
But the desires are more important than the deeds:

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Then what is the use of the law, if the deeds and the desires differ?

In the Love, my friend, deeds and desires are in Harmony.
And having Love, man has EVERYTHING.

Bible can be understood in MANY ways.
But there is One only True Way: the Way of Love, the Way of Jesus.

I’m not writing this letter to you with the intention to go in arguments.
It is just the way that my Love expresses IT Self.

You can not answer me, but I would be very happy to know that you have dived deep in my words, and drowned in to them.
After that you will feel the difference in your UNDERSTANDING, which will bring you Great difference in your life.

Love
Truden
